On the left is scout executive Frank Hilton of the district. The award was given at the annual Council Banquet and meeting in Austin last Thursday.

Lewis who now makes his home here in retirement, has spent a part of his training skills on his canine companion Butch. "A lot easier than elephants" he said.

From San Marcos Record: A treasured invitation to the inauguration of President John F. Kennedy and Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson is being carefully scrutinized by Larry Langley and Bob Bell, two boys who only hours before had no idea they would get to attend the history making event. Langley, an outstanding student at San Marcos High School , and Bell, the cadet commander at the Academy, received the invitation to go with the SWT band on the plane Thursday morning under the auspices of the chamber of Commerce. The boys will fill two vacant seats left by ill band members.

W. Low for a plane trip to Washington where they will attend the inauguration of President John F. Kennedy and Vice - President Lyndon B. Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Low are close friends of the Vice – President.
