From San Marcos Record: Thirteen is probably a lucky number for this new Brownie Troop which was formed – especially lucky to have for leader Mr. and Mrs. K.L. Nixon. They held their first meeting Tuesday at James Bowie School where they received their World Association pins and membership star. They are Carolyn Swinny, Cathy Berry, Cathy Miller, Sarah Nixon, Moyra McLaurin, Sharon Brown, Shirley Weismann, Debbie Parsons, Mary Evelyn Colgin and Linda Scott. Sandy Nixon is the mascot.
