From San Marcos Record: Rattlesnakes which usually have crawled into their holes for the winter by this time of the year, are still active due to the recent warm temperatures. This six-foot rattler with 14 rattles was killed by Antonio Aranda (holding snake) near the northeast edge of town last Friday. Gesturing toward the snake is Harold Jay while Bobby Cornelius looks on. The latter are college students. From the December 8, 1960, issue.
