One Vehicle Traffic Accident (Image 1961-014_001)

Description
From San Marcos Record: Wrong side of the road driving was the charge made on Robert Dale Linebarger after this one – car accident left his half – ton pickup lodged between a tree and a fence in front of the Masonic Temple early Sunday morning. The vehicle received an estimated $300 damage and the fence $50 damages.

From San Marcos Record: Wonder where the driver went? This pick-up truck was without a driver when it crashed through a fence and rammed this trailer house in the Coy Devaney Trailer park last Thursday afternoon. The driver had been seen by Mrs. Mary Jackson Lester of Martindale who was thrown from the vehicle when turning off of Highway 81. Mrs. Lester was taken to Hays County memorial Hospital with cuts and abrasions and was released Saturday.

This pick-up truck was without a driver when it crashed through a fence and rammed this trailer house in the Coy Devaney Trailer park last Thursday afternoon. The driver had been seen by Mrs. Mary Jackson Lester of Martindale who was thrown from the vehicle when turning off of Highway 81. Mrs. Lester was taken to Hays County memorial Hospital with cuts and abrasions and was released Saturday.

From San Marcos Record: This beautiful yard belongs to Dr. and Mrs. C. J. Suckle at 912 Bluebonnet Drive and has been selected by the Balcones Garden Club as the yard of the month for October. The house and back yard are on top of a hill and the front yard is terraced with neatly stacked flagstone rocks on the brow of the hill. The back yard is fenced with an interlaced redwood fence for privacy and is planted with many succulents and bulbs, forming an almost tropical setting.

From San Marcos Record: Topsy- Turvy Playland – this truck carrying amusement rides from the State Fair to Playland Park in San Antonio overturned three and one-half miles north of San Marcos about 7:45 Tuesday morning. Driver of the truck L.C. Roden told investigating officers that the truck was loaded too heavily on one side and when a gust of wind caught the vehicle, he could not get it back on the highway. Estimates of $2, 500 damages to the truck and $2000 to the equipment were made. Roden was apparently unhurt.
