In one of the most outstanding shows ever held in the arena, these other winners were named: Denna Steele, champion Shetland and junior showmanship. D.E. Crumley, champion stallion. and Jannie Wilson, champion gelding.

These four lovelies, left to right, Patsy Whitely of Dripping Springs High School, Susan Wayne of San Marcos Baptist Academy, Pearl Casper of Buda High School and Ann Ince of Kyle High School – had to do much "passing in review" before the judges scattered in the large crowd (background) named Miss Wayne as the winner. Her escort was Lt. Ted Blanton.
