Description
From San Marcos Record: What's left of a T-33 jet canopy is shown by Valentino Sanchez who found the broken remains in his cotton field near the Hays-Caldwell County line just north of the Bastrop Highway. The rest of the aircraft and its two pilots returned to Kelly AFB unharmed but a report of a fallen piece of plane had officials searching far into the night for a jet crash.

Other work progressed on schedule at SMA as classroom building and three tennis courts near completion.

Their work will be taken to San Antonio in August where they will compete for district. Miss Hughson was first place winner and Miss Ivey won second place. From July 27, 1961 issue.
