Balcones Flower Show, Spring 1961 (Image 1961-109_003)

From San Marcos Record: Man and wife teams work to make the annual flower show of the Balcones Garden Club a success. These are two of the men: Charles Kasse, left and Jack Williams who with their wives are president and flower show chairman, respectively. The show was acclaimed one of the best ever, with greater interest being shown by children as well as a larger audience.

The boys hope to push this battered bed the 176 miles in a faster time then Baylor, University of Texas, University of Houston, and Texas A&I students have been able to do so.
