From San Marcos Record: "Pushing safety in the local schools are these ladies of the Business and Professional Women's Club who are showing some of the posters they will place in the schools to the principals. The group met in the office of Superintendent of School, Joe Hutchinson Monday morning. To inquire how safety might be increased in the city's schools." From September 24, 1959 issue.

Photograph of three women outside standing next to a "school" traffic sign. From San Marcos Record: "Mrs. A. McMullin, Mrs. Evelyn Wentworth and Mrs. E. S. Sutton are standing next to a newly installed traffic sign on the Seguin Highway to warn motorists of the new high school. The sign was the result of the efforts by the Business and Professional Women's Club." October 22, 1959 issue.

From San Marcos Record: "Traffic safety report on San Marcos is being examined by the group who attended a meeting at City Hall Friday, November 6th. Sgt. Joe Perry of Traffic Safety Division of DPS explained the report to city officials and other interested in safety. Mayor Allen stands next to Officer Perry. Police Chief William Allbright, Mrs. Evelyn Wentworth, Mrs. Alma Edwards, president of Business & Professional Women and Mrs. Albe Mae McMullen look over parts of the report."
