From San Marcos Record: Queen with Scepter Contest Winners – Miss Becky Ivey and Miss Lynn Hughson were judged July 21 on the work they have done in the Girl's Auxiliary and were chosen first and second place winners. Their work will be taken to San Antonio in August where they will compete for district. Miss Hughson was first place winner and Miss Ivey won second place. From July 27, 1961 issue.
