From San Marcos Record: Ladies Auxiliary members are on duty throughout the day at memorial Hospital. These volunteers attend the information desk, run errands for patients and visitors, serve in the Cupboard, and otherwise lend help where needed. Yard of the Month (Image 1960-309_005)

Description
From San Marcos Record: The attractive yard was awarded the Yard of the Month plaque for the month of April. The berry plants border a flower bed near the patio and another circular bed. The front yard has two terraces separated by a kedge rock. Juniper flanks the walk near the porch. Well chosen tress in the yard includes mimosa and white ash. A built-in flower box by the front porch is filled with forget-me-nots which will provide color later in the summer. Judges were Mrs. Inez Patton, County Home Demonstration Agent, and Bert Johnson, County Agent. Cleitt Hardware awarded Mr. and Mrs. Jones a pair of garden gloves. From the May 12, 1960, issue.
