Description
From San Marcos Record: Fence of fish was the order of the day behind Roberts Building Materials when J.R. Roberts, his son John Jr., Billy Gulledge, Jr. and his father B.R. Gulledge displayed the almost 300 bass they caught at Don Martin lake in Mexico last week. Almost all the bass were caught casting with "Bombers" doing most of the damage. From San Marcos Record: Mixing batter are these three Kiwanians who will be working on the Annual Kiwanis Pancake Feed scheduled Thursday (today) beginning at 11 a.m. and closing at 9 p.m. in the City Park Recreations Building. Left to Right the chefs are general chairman Herbert Nix and ticket committeeman Joe McMichael and Jack Pennington. Everyone is invited for some "fine eating" according to the Kiwanians. Tickets are 50 cents per plate. From the April 7, 1960, issue.
