From San Marcos Record: Talking over the coming years program with these directors of the newly formed Hays County Farm Bureau is State representative of the Farm Bureau Charles Huff, seated on the right. He pointed out areas that the group might work in such as the Brucellosis control program, the farm management program and the farm youth program. Listening are county bureau President J. D. From San Marcos Record: Home and Trade Show booth plans got a thorough examination from these San Marcos Jaycees Monday night as they accelerated plans for the show next month. Left to right standing they are Bobby Gordon, Jack Gold, John Ferguson, Floyd Brown, Melvin Luerson, Alan Anderson and Tommy Shires. Seated left to right are Max Pantermuehl, James Mauldin, and Ronald Becker. Mauldin and Pantermuehl are chairmen for the Home and Trade committee. From the February 11, 1960, issue.

From San Marcos Record: Variety sparked the program presented by Campus Elementary kindergarten children Monday night for the Association for Childhood Education (student branch). Almost every child had a chance to show their talents in the kindergarten show. The 21 children were prepared for the program by Mrs. David Ramsey. Since Mrs. Ramsey was ill at the time of the program, the boys and girls were aided by Mr. CC. Brown, Dr. Hazel McCanne and Mrs. Ida Beth Robertson. From the February 11, 1960, issue.

From San Marcos Record: Variety sparked the program presented by Campus Elementary kindergarten children Monday night for the Association for Childhood Education (student branch). Larry Baker, at the left, directs the rhythm band while Delores Lane performs with the baton. Band member left to right are Susie Weatherford, Kenny Parker, David Reese, Danny Walker, Cindy Health and David Walker. From San Marcos Record: The old building at 218 North Austin Street will be torn down and the new Ben Franklin department store will be built in the location previously occupied by the Firestone Store and a vacant building formally occupied by the City News Stand. The Firestone Store will move to the location of the former Paul's Barbecue on the courthouse Square. From the February 11, 1960, issue.
