From San Marcos Record: A small arsenal of weapons was obtained at the scene Tuesday. The .30 caliber army carbine at the top was used from the upper story windows, while the white handled pistol on the right, second from the top, was used to shoot Burt. "It's a wonder someone wasn't killed," a law enforcement officer said after other law officers had tried to disperse the crowd. One shot from the apartment, before the tear gas barrage, scattered the gathering in the vacant lot across from the bus station. From the January 21, 1960, issue.
