From San Marcos Record: "These nine women are ready for the Annual Mother's Crusade March on Polio held Thursday evening on January 29, 1959. The nine ladies are all members of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority led by President Mrs. J.C. Dupree (left). The women are: Front row left to right – Mrs. Edward Dupree, Mrs. Irwin Miller. Mrs. A.D. Serur, Mrs. Don Ennis. back row – Mrs. Bill Davenport, Mrs. Ted MacIntrye, Mrs. Leslie Hill and Mrs. Horace Bass. Over one hundred women participated in the march as homes across San Marcos were solicited for donations for the fight on polio." From January 29, 1959 issue.
