Eisenhower Political Ad (Image Undated-045_001)

Description
Photograph of an underwater performer with a political ad. From San Marcos Record: Political campaigns went underwater at Aquarena last week when Don Russell, manager directed a little political skit for the benefit of news reel and television men. Life magazine, also had a photographer here and Russell thinks TV and news reel fans and Life readers may see the unusual event during the week. Russell and the Aqua Misses dreamed up and staged the water show which had the girls giving political speeches for their favorite candidates and passing out favors to voters – in this case meatball for the myriads of hungry sunfish who inhabit the area around Aquarena. Russel explained that is simply a stunt to attract publicity and no partisanship is shown by Aquarena in its presentation of the campaigns of the two candidates.
