Russell and the Aqua Misses dreamed up and staged the water show which had the girls giving political speeches for their favorite candidates and passing out favors to voters – in this case meatball for the myriads of hungry sunfish who inhabit the area around Aquarena. Russel explained that is simply a stunt to attract publicity and no partisanship is shown by Aquarena in its presentation of the campaigns of the two candidates.
