From San Marcos Record: "Mrs. Rena Dobie, postmaster at Wimberley and Buck Winn designer of the Texas Centennial of Statehood commemorative stamp loom over a sheet of the new stamp in the door of the post office at Wimberley. Winn nationally known artist and muralist, who makes his home on his ranch near Wimberley was a guest of honor Saturday in the House of Representatives at a special program following which the first day issue of the new stamp was put on sale in the Austin post office." From January 4, 1946 issue.
