Photograph of a group of men standing together looking at prosthetics at the Southland Ice Plant. From San Marcos Record: "The use of artificial limbs as one of the penalties for carelessness is graphically pointed out to the staff of the Southland Ice Plant by W.F. Leonard, right head of the Southland's safety division. The demonstrations are part of a safety meeting held Monday afternoon, January 26th at the plant. Leonard commended the staff and manager Herbert Nix, center, having 1639 days with no lost time for employee injury and 7771 days without a chargeable truck accident. Others are from left Jesse Serna, Emil Casillas, Frank Mendez, John Rangel and Frank Ramirez." From January 29, 1959 issue.
