Note
From San Marcos Record: "The ninth annual Jaycee Kids Christmas Party was held at the courthouse December 17, 1959. Seventeen hundred kids and their parents participated in the event. A parade preceded the festivities with the Air Force ROTC color guard and drill team, the San Marcos High School Band, the SWTC Band and a firetruck escorting Santa to the party. Gifts of fruit, candy, popcorn and school supplies were given to each child by the San Marcos Junior Chamber of Commerce." From December 21, 1959 issue.
