Information provided by users of original Flickr collection: "William A. Wyatt Jr., San Marcos, and Windell Eldrege Pierce, Houston, judged best drilled cadets in San Marcos at the annual Military Field Day. Both boys are members of the Junior class, members of Company C (Band Company), belong to the same squad and both play trumpets. Cadet Pierce is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Pierce of Houston, he was formally in the San Jacinto R.O.T.C. Unit before coming to San Marcos. Cadet Wyatt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Wyatt, San Marcos. He began his school work in the Academy in first grade in 1928, and has made the honor roll rather consistently during his enrollment. SMDA May 27, 1938"
