Photograph of Lyndon Johnson standing in front of aircraft with five men. From San Marcos Record: "Assistant Secretary of War Stuart Symington shakes hands with Lt. Colonel F. E. Schroeck, commanding officer of San Marcos Army Air Field as he steps from the plane Friday afternoon. Left foreground is Congressman Lyndon Johnson. in rear, is Mayor Norman Jackson and behind Lt. Colonel Schroeck is City Commissioner Herbert Eastwood. They headed a large party which met Mr. Symington and accompanied him on a tour of an inspection of the field." From May 10, 1946 issue.
