Photograph of two unidentified men in front of store holding a dead eagle. From San Marcos Record: "This golden eagle with a wingspan of 7 ft 4 in was killed near San Marcos on Monday evening by Jim Wiede, Maxwell school boy, as he hunted with his rifle on the Tom McCarty Ranch. Shown with the big bird is young Wiede, right, and his uncle Harry Wiede of San Marcos." From January 1, 1954 issue.
