Description
From San Marcos Record: Not the Rio Grande Valley but San Marcos is the site of growth of heavily laden grapefruit tree. Mrs. Sam Hada who resides at 301 Cardinal Street originally grew the tree from seeds of some fruit her family had eaten. When the potted plants became too large for indoors, she just "threw them out" with surprising results.
