From San Marcos Record: Ready for any emergency – these Girl Scouts of Troop 4 decided not to delay their troop camping trip to Bastrop despite a 6.5-inch rain in that vicinity. Armed with paddle, food, and the troop campers' trailer from Austin, these girls left Tuesday for a week of camping and work on their first-class rank. They are seated left to right: Nancy House, Janie Dietz, Virginia Kennedy and Judy Hill. Standing, left to right: Linda Dietz, Beck Hook, Janet Skaggs, Nancy Hanel, Gail Hughson, Laura Laas, and Jean Helton. Leaders are Mrs. Ola Dietz and Mrs. Erma Hook.
