From San Marcos Record: Mr. And Mrs. J.M. Garrett celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday February 19th at their home with an open house. More than 200 friends and relatives dropped by for a visit. The Garretts were married on February 11, 1911, at Dripping Springs. They moved to San Marcos in 1923. From February 23, 1961, issue.
