From San Marcos Record: Starting a new term of office for Hays County were these men who were sworn in on Saturday in a Court Hose ceremony. Some of the men who took their oaths of office were, left to right, Will King, deputy sheriff; Tom Arch Allen, tax assessor & collector; Wallace T. Barber, district attorney; James R. Hall, surveyor; and Ollie Herzog, constable of Kyle.
