Description
From San Marcos Record: First bale of cotton ginned in San Marcos belonged to T.G. Langham, right of Reedville. His bale weighing 492 pounds was ginned last Thursday by the O.C. Smith gin and was purchased for 36 cents a pound by Allen Dietert, left, representing Stokes and Co. cotton buyers of Brenham. In the center is Max Smith, co-owner of the local gin.
