From San Marcos Record: Cigarettes sparks caused this one car wreck about 2:15 last Friday morning about four miles out on the Seguin Highway. Kenneth Wheeler, who was on this way from Chase Field in Beeville to a new assignment in California tried to put a cigarette out the window and it blew back in. As he tried to brush the sparks from his clothing, the car overturned, causing an estimated $1500 dollars damage to the car and injured shoulder to Wheeler. From the December 7, 1961 issue.
